You try to trip a short female bakemono but end up tripping yourself! < HP: 92 ME: 100 PE: 27 // The southwest corner of a large, underground cavern // 3 platinum, 6 gold, 5 silver, 4 copper> stand You stop resting, and stand up. < HP: 100 ME: 100 PE: 35 // The southwest corner of a large, underground cavern // 3 platinum, 6 gold, 5 silver, 4 copper> fly You're already flying! < HP: 100 ME: 100 PE: 35 // The southwest corner of a large, underground cavern // 3 platinum, 6 gold, 5 silver, 4 copper> I'm confused. |

Yea, you can rest while flying if you fail a trip or get bashed. If you couldn't rest from stuff like this, fly would be way too jacked (you'd be immune to bash). |

in your case someone might have tripped or bashed me. but I still would have completely lost my balance and landed on my arse. now how do I manage to stay in the air? I think it should knock you out of the sky. Yes, I know the flight-staff-and-scroll users will attack me for such a suggestion, but I think it's kind of silly to be knocked out and still hovering in mid air. and . . . . if you can't trip someone who doesn't have their feet on the ground, how did I trip myself in the first place? |

I think the idea is that you have landed on your butt, but immediately resume flying upon standing up. At least, that's how I've always interpreted it. |

Imagine Mary Poppins, flying around and.....woops! She slips. Her umbrella gets lodged in her jacksy and she's no use to man nor beast until she can dislodge said umbrella. It's just easier to use, "yu trip yurself" than "Your umbrella smarts like hell and you've temporarily lost your spoonful of sugar." Wouldn't you agree? |

Sprites "Pests. Don't stay still long enough to squish." -- Brogmar, Icewall Giant. "The essense of a sprite hovers somewhere in between an incorrigable lust for life and the intrigue of a child discovering the world. This leaves the race with a profound potential for both acts of greatness and acts of extreme misfortune. Many are the sprites that turn to the worship of the Dark Lords, but thankfully, most pursue more wholesome, albeit aggravating, paths. It can try one's patience to deal with a sprite, but most will hold 'big person' dear in their hearts for many a year." -- Shannyd Faollin, elven priestess. /-^-\/-^-\/-^-\/-^-\/-^-\/-^-\/-^-\/-^-\/-^-\/-^-\/-^-\/-^-\/-^-\/-^-\ Sprites are tiny elf-like creatures with small, semi-transparent wings. They are intelligent creatures, but very weak physically. A sprite is naturally the quickest and most agile race, and their fey heritage gifts the ability to detect magic as well as utilizing faerie fire and fog. Sprites can use their wings to fly. They are resistant to charm, magic and mental attacks but are vulnerable to disease, blunt weapons and even the touch of common iron. See also: sprite-culture She is, however, flapping her wings. Not magic. |
