Reincarnated because i got tired of waiting for a good priest/ess to log in to do the favor. Turns out it has other penaltys.

Lost points in Wisdom and Charisma. How much i do not know. There is no disorientation. And that was also the very first time i had used reincarnate.

Helpfiles state only experience loss, being one full level worth. It mentions nothing about statistics dropping permanently.

The change, in the news list also only states loss of exp. I can see one level causing a stat to drop a point randomly. But not two stats. So it either dropped me more than three levels worth of experience.. or it is bugged.

P.s. I forgot to mention, prior my death i had NO items that add to either stat.

Had you died recently before and was still under the effect of the previous spirit disoriantation?

nope, last time was almost a week ago. Which was about 60 hrs played time. All my gear was either + str, or + dex. I had no +wis items because the stat was max before i hit novice. I had no +cha items as you can see. This is what i had worn prior my death.

<worn on finger> a ring of oak (superb)
<worn on finger> a ring of silver (superb)
<worn around neck> a battered blacksilver gorget (superb)
<worn around neck> a battered blacksilver gorget (superb)
<worn as symbol> (Glowing) (Flaming) a small medallion engraved with white flames
<worn on body> a glistening plate cuirass (brand new)
<worn on head> the captain's helm (brand new)
<worn on legs> a pair of glistening hinged leg greaves (brand new)
<worn on feet> a pair of glistening sabatons (brand new)
<worn on hands> a pair of glistening hourglass gauntlets (brand new)
<worn on arms> a pair of glistening rerebraces (brand new)
<worn about body> a blue woolen cloak (good)
<worn about waist> a glistening plate belt (brand new)
<worn around wrist> a griffon-sized engraved silver wristband (superb)
<worn around wrist> a griffon-sized engraved silver wristband (superb)
<right hand> a white heater shield (brand new)
<left hand> a gilded dwarven war flail (brand new)

I was however, ritually sacrificed by a deep elf, but i have never seen such having any ill effects on my statistics. And as i have been bashing NPCs, i have noticed i have been gaining experience alot faster. So i can only guess it didn't drop me a level. It may have actually dropped me a full RANK. From Mentor to Expert.

Ie: 5 full levels worth the experience.

Reincarnation DOES drop you a level. You DID drop a level, and if you trained wis on that level train, you lost it back, due to the level drop. Even if u simply lost exp enough to fall back to the previous level where you had trained wis, that DOES explain why your wis points fell.

About cha, I do have a slight idea that I remember one of your eq pieces having some cha addition... I am not sure though...

Reincarnation only drops one level. Perhaps you where level 36 (mentor) and droped to lvl 35 (expert). That is also a level you gain a stat point so losing that level will consequently make you lose a stat point. You should not lose two stat points however.

I trained the level, got my rank back. Raised my wis back to normal. Still down a point of cha, not that it actually matters much at this point. I still think the reincarnate is bugged, knowing i had no +cha gear. Maybe the ritual sacrifice, cost me that. When that one deep elf did it to my corpse.

In either case, nothing i can do about it.

Sacrifice does not take stat points. Perhaps you are just goofed up thinking you had charisma maxed and it infact is the same as prior to your unfavorable experience. I never had such a problem using reincarnation in the past.

Niether have I. My guess, you were an even level, reincarted back to an odd level thereby loosing a stat point. It was probably you either thought you had it maxed and didn't or... there is really a bug.

Although if you tried to train cha and a trainer told you you had it maxed... this is likely a bug... because you can train a stat to max that is already maxed via mods.
Don't really know enough info to be able to figure it out.

How do you know that you lost points in both Wis and Cha? If it is because a trainer now suddenly trains you in both, perhaps it is because this is a new trainer that you tried to train at. Keep in mind that after this last update, not all trainers train all stats, so another trainer might simply not have trained Wis and Cha, while this trainer does.

Reincarnation does not take stat points. It simply doesn't. It's not in the code to do it, and it takes only one single level's worth of exp. The most that you might lose is one stat point.
