A very handy one, I recommend everyone has it. Be sure to type out the full directions, otherwise you're going to be eventually use the abbreviations in the wrong context and focus on your self or some swift male griffon. There is no reason to use abbreviations in alias definitions; avoid the chance for a mishap by just typing things out fully.

My look alias is where my character performs all the inventory and relevant status maintenance tasks I would want to regularly perform without alteration. It is my "void main()" function.

First, Chem was the one who made the comment about them only being illegal if you get caught, not me. Thats his feeling on every law and rule in existance, however.

Second, if were refer to my comment about using alias that do more than one thing base on mud output - Thats exactly what your psudeo code with butchering and your example rez script.

Anyway. Aliases can do more than one thing. That's the point.

Adding state-based filters on alias components is not against the spirit nor the letter of the rules, and that is why it is gray magic.

How many times in how many threads does it have to be explained that triggers are illegal? grep is way more patient with you people than I would be.

Triggers are magic. The problem here is that people forget that triggers can do more than send automated commands (black magic.) Black magic is easy. Black magic is powerful. But wield it, and eventually, it will corrupt you, and you will be wielded by its dark powers instead, to your doom.

Noobs only see blackness in triggers, when in fact their world is a beautiful symphony of grays and possibilities.
