Reading through MushClient's webpage on triggers, it looks if I wanted to highlight a single word, I could simply put that as a trigger. For example, if I wanted to highlight a name in a block of text I could simply type the name. Let's say Menegroth, I would simply use: Menegroth as the trigger. Yet when I do that, I can see that the trigger isn't calling at all. I can get the thing to highlight the entire line in which that appears, but I just want to highlight one or two words in a block of text, and nothing else. Any help would be awesome! |

Perfect, thanks! Can I ask why you have the sequence as 90 though? I forgot to do anything about that, and so its listed as 100 and it works just as I need it to. |

Alternatively, if you press Ctrl+Alt+H a dialog box pops up for Highlight Word (from the Display menu). If you have the word in question selected in the world window, then that selection will be in the input box automatically, or you can just type in what you want to have highlighted. Select the coloer and hit OK. This will create a regular expression trigger (that part is why your first attempt wouldn't work, but Finney's example includes it) that captures just that word or phrase, and makes it repeat on the same line. (If you then go into your triggers, you'll see the new one there). Same outcome, but a handy quick step. |
