So I was poking around at AI art and I thought to myself you know their is a room description of every room in SK. So I grab some text and dumped it into the AI art generator. Is it fast no. Is it consistent no. Does it understand mud color codes no. Does it understand things like exits not really. So its a long way from perfect but it does give a feel to areas I never really enjoy given I normally quickly I read the room text the first time and rarely glance at it after I "know the area" focusing on more important things like Exits etc. This project that I dont know I have the skills for is to pull the room text from the mud transport it to an image generator and spawn an image. Ill can do it manually but it would be nice to have an auto generate triggered by a look command it just takes too long to make an image for it to try to spawn an image when walking and such it also isnt smart enough to add a direction of facing from when you walked into a room and know the exits to give you a true graphical interface like old school D&D games.
I know there are strong thoughts and feelings about AI art generation and such so if anyone feels strongly that I should not do this let me know. Also all the words I would be using for the prompts are other peoples work so again if Imms feel strongly I should not let me know.
I havent started on any automatic coding yet but the images I got back from a few places are nice to look at but clearly not perfect displays of the text so more a general feel of an area than a perfect picture of a room. Food for thought and a project that will likely not be worth doing for the outcome but might be worth doing for the skills Ill have to learn to do it.
