I know that the sage quest works for fact. You must be precise as Fridge said though. If it isn't working for you you did something wrong.
I've checked more than a few quests from BUG and TYPO entries and I'm always limited by what you report - some of the quests in the game are complex beyond belief, so the more you can give me the better. This particular NPC has been checked and I've watched mortals complete the quest so I know it's not broken.
If you PM me with a log or a specific description of "I did this, and the NPC said nothing" it's a start - but fleshing out what you did previously (I first met the NPC, and it said to gather sage, turnips, relish and parsley) what you held (I got the sage from the 3rd angel on the left, in the holy choir in the unholy church near Kytar) and exactly how you delivered it (I dropped it on the ground and said 'there, now stop whining') - I should be able to work out whether the script is bugged or not.
Some caveats:
1. I don't plan on providing 'answers' to the quests. If you're doing something very wrong, I'll go over the scripts to work out how you could have been so misdirected and perhaps improve some wording, etc. If you're only slightly off ..well, I'll probably say you're getting warmer or something.
2. I also expect
in-character solving of quests. Anyone that quotes their previous character's completion of the quest (or worse, a walkthrough provided by someone else) is begging for public humiliation for cheating. I'll happily tweak quests every so often so that you
have to solve them in-character by reading and exploring (or whatever the quest requires) rather than just jumping to the last step. Don't expect sympathy from me if your walkthrough instructions are no longer valid - if you find any, I can almost guarantee they're obselete.
