I know this has been an issue forever but I thought I would bring it back up.

Someone enters a magical rift.

They are invisible yet I know when they enter or leave a portal, gate or rift.

Invisible yes, but sneaking no. You can still hear them walk and move their feet. Or making sounds moving in general. You can see things without the sense of sight.

Oh yeah! I heard them walk into the portal! I forget portals make a squishy sound when people walk into them defining that they are in fact walking into a rift portal or gate... each has a special noise so you can tell!

It should be...

You hear footsteps... (walking into the room)
You hear footsteps... (walking into a portal/rift/gate)
You hear footsteps... (walking into a different room)

When they walk through a portal/rift/gate you could see the light from the portal being blocked by their shape on the way in or the ripple from entry.l

If that were the case than any invis person would block light from going through them.. like a visiable person does.

Thank you Paladin656. We can argue the cause and effects of this all day long and can proove then disproove them as well. So if they block light then it should be changed to... "You see a ripple in the rift" however because a rift and a gate and a portal are all magical entries would they or would they not ripple on their own due to their magical properties and thus would you really notice a huminoid change in the ripple? Either way, its broken! So shut it. :D

well I don't think this one is such a big deal compared to when you see an invisible person look at someone in the room.

Someone looks at player

You shouldn't be able to see that.

Actually its more like the sound of someone mixing up a particularly sloppy batch of mac'n'cheese.
