I wanted to let you know about a few of the bugs I noticed while exploring Nerina.

1) The worst one I've seen is that you can enter MODE BASH and get a response that your mode has changed when it actually hasn't. (I know the command is supposed to be MODE STUN, but I'm new and sometimes forget. I guess it's good that I did, since I especially noticed the error when I got thrown in jail for attempted murder. Otherwise, I probably wouldn't have noticed the bug at all.)

2) While you are fighting on the Proving Grounds using the KILL command, the command can take awhile to complete. Every now and then other messages appear (people entering and leaving the room, for instance). Sometimes the AUTO JUNK command fails at the end. Sometimes the KILL command just stops (and the ZAKAMI has not left the room). I haven't been able to figure out the exact parameters of when this happens, but I thought you should know that it does happen occasionally and only when something else happens while the KILL command is ongoing.

3) There are a nice variety of NPCs constantly moving around Nerina. However, it is very disconcerting when (2) identical NPCs are in the same room at the same time. It shouldn't be too difficult to keep that from happening.

I know you prefer to have these sent to you from within SK. However, it took me awhile to figure out they were programming glitches and not player error, and then even longer to find out how to report them to you.

Fixed.

Or is 'You may only fight to stun or kill' the unclear response you speak of?

I received the same response when I entered MODE STUN or MODE BASH but MODE BASH didn't change my mode status.

Many things you do in the game have a certain amount of lag and it needs some time to pass before your next command is executed.
The kill command has at least one round of combat lag this means that when you *kill zakami* you start combat with the beast and will have to wait for the next round for your next command to be executed.

By using Auto commands you toggle them on and off, you don't have to type them every time. When you have auto junk on, you will destroy corpses. When you type *Auto junk* again you will leave corpses intact.

Take some time to read the help files, practicing after that will get you familiarized with the game mechanics.

Welcome to Shattered Kingdoms.

Before typing KILL ZAKAMI my AUTO JUNK command was set to ON, I entered KILL ZAKAMI, nothing else, and I ended up with a ZAKAMI CORPSE or the KILL ZAKAMI command would stop executing for no apparent reason. This would only happen when other people's/NPCs actions affected the room I was in while the KILL ZAKAMI command was executing (i.e. someone else entering/leaving the room other than the ZAKAMI I was attacking).

I've never seen that before. Are you sure you weren't blind (from dirt kick) at the end? If you're blind when you kill a NPC, you'll try and execute "junk corpse" at the end, but since you can't see it, the corpse won't be destroyed. If you can copy and paste the screen when you see it fail, that might help.

edit: on the kill zakami lag...
Certain skills will lag you for a period of time, so even if you typed "k zakami" immediately it might not go through for several seconds.

Quote:
[HP:100%][ME:100%][PE:100%]
You stab a zakami beetle.
A zakami beetle misses you.
Overall, a zakami beetle is in awful condition.
[HP:100%][ME:100%][PE:100%]
>bash
Your bash slams into a zakami beetle and sends it sprawling!
Your bash knocks the wind out of a zakami beetle.
[HP:100%][ME:100%][PE:100%]
You stab a zakami beetle in the head.
A zakami beetle falls to the ground with a blank expression.
A zakami beetle is DEAD!.
You junk a corpse of a zakami beetle.
You get 2 gold coins.
[HP:100%][ME:100%][PE:100%]
>k zakami
A half-elf walks in from the west.
[HP:100%][ME:100%][PE:100%]
A half-elf looks at you.
[HP:100%][ME:100%][PE:100%]
A half-elf walks east.
[HP:100%][ME:100%][PE:100%]
You stab a zakami beetle in the chest, causing a bleeding gash!
[HP:100%][ME:100%][PE:100%]

Bash and failed trips are some of the things that will lag you for more than a round.

When it happens again, I promise to use the BUG command from inside SK. The underlying problem is that the KILL command used when AUTO JUNK is in force sometimes stops mid-fight for no apparent reason or, under the same scenario, when the KILL command is completed, the AUTO JUNK doesn't occur. (KICK DIRT isn't automatic, and so does not apply.)

I think that I'm either misunderstanding your question or you're misunderstanding my answer. The enemy kicks dirt into YOUR eyes, not the other way around. Whenever you are blind you will not be able to junk corpses.

As for the fight just stopping in the middle when auto junk is on... what? I've never had a combat just stop like that. Could you give a little more information about what happens when you suddenly stop fighting?

OK. One more time . . .

I enter KILL ZAKAMI

after several rounds in which the ZAKAMI is getting weaker and weaker and someone else (player/NPC) effects the room the ZAKAMI dies

I sometimes have to enter JUNK CORPSE even when AUTO JUNK is turned on.

-OR-

I enter KILL ZAKAMI

the ZAKAMI is getting weaker and weaker
someone else effects the room
the ZAKAMI doesn't die or leave the room
nothing seems to be happening

I enter KILL ZAKAMI again and I don't get the message
"I'm trying the best that I can."

and the ZAKAMI finally dies.

Are you using a weapon? What is your dex, and how trained is the skill that the weapon goes with? What it sounds like to me, is you are not hitting. You are still fighting, and the NPC must not be hitting you. I would suggest finding a way to use some more deadly weapons or getting a higher dex or skill level with the weapon you are using.
