Er. I wasn't talking about anything supernatural tho'. Minotaurs are just another humanoid race. And anyway, -everything- can track like an expert. I'd just like it to get more sensible.. the scent being lost after, oh I don't know, 100 miles or so.

Maybe you just stink?

I am the shadow that stalks your morning bamboo forest stroll...
I am the stench that seeps inside your skin for whole decades...
..I am naturally immune to soap.

I am Rada-Skunk.

I have to admit, it is annoying when that snide goblin tracks you all the way through the chaotic city of Teron, out the gates and halfway down to Nerina.

But then, this has always been a problem. I remember years ago when I first went to train in N'Kashya, I was once chased by three splurgoths and their associated zabashi companions aaaaaaall the way back to what was then Exile center square, where they proceeded to slaughter me and all the other fountain RPers gathered there.

If you dont want them to track you, logoff.
Uplug the PC, and remove the modem cable.
Also, dont open the front door when after a couple of ticks someone rings your doorbell.

That's guaranteed to work.

I've pretty much come to accept the track code but one thing has always bothered me about it. Why is it that if a NPC is intimidated that it will continue to track you? If it's much to terrified to attack, why is it still dogging your heels, I'd think it would leave you alone at that point.

Depends on the NPC and where you walk. Most that will return to the place they are from will leave the attack go and return if you leave that place. Like those priestesses in Ch'zzyrm in the spider temple. The hunt, but if you just leave a few rooms and stand there they will try a few more times, then head back. Never tried it on Fytrysk though, might be interesting to see how that ends up. I know intimidating the guardians in the chancel and they will walk back into their temlpes(or they used to) if you lured them out.

Since intimidate was brought up. I noticed that if a NPC you had previously fought "gets angry and charges" intimidate seems to fire a lot less. Wondering if its supposed to be like that or just bad luck.

I think NPCs that do track after they have been blinded have been killed so many freaking times that they sort of just "know" where people go when they flee.
