Code:
A failed squire's feeble footwork is no match for your balance.

is same as

Code:
Despite your best effords you fail to bla bla bla

The first is the msg the defender gets and the second the msg the offender gets.

This kind of failed attempt does not lag you.

The one that lags you is like...

Code:
You try tripping a bla bla bla but end up tripping yourself

Both of those lag one round. Which is what happens in the log.

Code:
You try tripping a bla bla bla but end up tripping yourself

That lags for somewhere around the same amount of time as bash lag. I think it's only 2 instead of 2.5 though.

as far as I noticed there can be two types of failures for trip. One would be 'no matter how you try, you just cant trip xxx' and the one where you end up tripping yourself. The former gives you minimal lag, the secondary ... mm I cant say for sure, i dont feel the lagged up rounds aswell yet. I know only that if i type "stand" as fast as possible, it'll tell me that i am fighting, and therefore standing.
