What should be done to summon?
Nothing. It's fantastic. I love ganking people. 19%  19%  [ 14 ]

yeah and we need less of these also.

Back on point. If you haven't noticed. Priests are short in supply and the two classes that can enchant doesn't have enough time to enchant every piece of armor for everyone every time the get summon ganked.

Yes, willpower does help. I had one of the most powerful willpower items in the game that naturally came with high willpower. You will still get summoned. So basically, here are the other two options. Go sleep/eat/drink in the no magic area. Yeah . . .That is fun. :sleepy: or go join a cabal and do the same. :sleepy: :sleepy:

Shocked? I thought you had some twink usage for it, what you just suggested to me isn't "broken" at all. In fact if you were to summon a group using Buruku I imagine it would be because that group is dumb and isn't using someone like Lathron. So anyway continue on, what was it you were going to do that's so broken it would make Dulrik change it?

And Muktar I had two gm priest with max art in the same room trying to summon my 0 willpower 64 MR + gm spellward human sorc to no avail so MR definately resists summons as well, guess you didn't have enough.

If you only get it to greatly MR, which is +4 on 15 different slots that's only 60 MR. MR is a percentage based fiend so really only a 60% chance that you'll evade the summon. That leaves a huge 40% gap in your defense.

IMO all this discussion about wether summon is woth being kept as it is or not is futile. How many times have you seen a summoner solo summon-gank the summoned? Nearly none. If it is a summon, in 98% of the cases, it is a 5-6 vs 1 case. And summoning the entire group may make summon even more powerful.
Imagine a sorcie with 14 art summoning a young deep-elf withing a group of other GMs into Sith. Even if they were not outlawed previously, they automatically become so, and thus, the tribunal gets their hands even to banish them for no actual reason. And this is just a quick idea of how it can be utterly abused.

So, D, just make it that you can't summon PCs with auto-summon on.

Or just have your stuff enchanted appropriately, take the RP and PK measures to not [REDACTED] someone off to the point they have justified reason to kill you. And if they manage somehow, do what you have to do to bring them to justice.

The problem isn't with the code. It is the lack of sportsmanship, lack of responsibility from the PKer (killing w/o reason), inability for admin to trace foul play (so much of what is not in a log can be the other players motivations which they've RP'd out with others) , and the players who are ganked who complain more so OOC than attempting to find out the reason for the attack, working toward acheiving justice in their career, etc.

Mayhaps make the willpower mean significantly more to the summon spell. That is probably what needs adjusting after the art tweeks anyway. A character shouldn't need to focus to try to get all their enchantments to be willpower over what's suppose to be a utility spell.

I think your numbers are off Ardith, also you're forgetting the massive amount of MR my spell ward adds on top of the 64 MR.

I'd like to see a group summon spell mainly for the fact that I like group vs. group battles. However, seeing as most people rather win all sk battles with any means as possible and therefor attempt to make it a group vs a ton of law NPCs battle; I would have to say no.

Likely best to make auto summon, unsummonable. Though I always find myself it being magicly turned off. Or make summon a lot harder with it on.

Or, make group summon work only on pcs, and auto summon make you immune to summon. In that way, if you get summon attempts, and you are in a comfortable sized group you can turn auto summon off, get summoned and let the pvp start!
