Seems I only have about a 10% chance to blind myself then.

I can see this should be true for maledictions, but should it be this way for the sleep spell? i.e. if you cast the sleep spell on yourself to go to sleep w/o waiting for your adrenaline to die down, I don't see why this should increase your adrenaline. After all, the sleep spell when used on the caster shouldn't be offensive, since the worst that could happen is you fall asleep.

There is a good reason why sleep makes one pulse raise.

Sorc in third row:
C sleep (target group)
Some of them save and try to kill group sorc is in
Sorc's group is losing.
Sorc recalls.

As opposed to the current way of doing things, where the sorc's group is losing and they just type 'e;e;e;e;e;e;e;' without the need for fleeing?

What I'm trying to say is that if you're casting on yourself, your pulse shouldn't raise.

I know, that is twinkish also. The is no reason to do it. Aside from maybe going to sleep quicker. Yeah . . .wait a tick. If that is what you are truly using it for.

Might want to try checking the damage for a certain spell. Or maybe you need a practice target...

If you want to practice the sleep spell find something else to practice on.
