I've noticed something lately on SK. This has happened to me, not just in this room.

The End of a Narrow Hall
You are in a narrow hall running east and west along the upper floor of
the inn. The walls are panelled in expensive oak, hung with an array of
ornaments and the occasional portrait set between glass lamps that cast
a gentle glow into the room. Red velvet curtains drape the glazed
windows in the south wall overlooking the street below.
Obvious exits: n(closed) e(closed) w ne(closed)

This happened earlier at the Outpost - I could not unlock a room that was northeast without typing the entire word. I checked to see if I had anything aliased to NE, and I don't..so..what's the problem?
