Yes, the entire point of this class is to be tricky. It doesn't have very high damage output, but the damage output it has is non-elemental (it is, however, cleanly magical, so it's easily resisted by some races). It does have the unusual ability of screwing with others' mana and currently cast spells, and the pacify compulsion is literally the backwards sanctuary.

Faerie fire drops AC, but expose only works on magical protection. Mana burn damage happens every tick and is negligible and it drains more mana than HP, but it would keep someone from hiding, like faerie fire or magma.

Ground makes people take damage from falling from flight, and prevents them from being able to fly by way of fly spells or natural flight.

This is the caster class to lock down other caster classes. I think it would get killed relatively easily by a lot of melee (which it can also screw with), but it would probably give actual caster classes a huge load of trouble by manipulating their ability to actually cast magic.

Enjoy.

Different than most, could be overpowered. Well, it could really mess up someones PK's. It would be fun to try. I wonder how many classes have been suggested, and I wonder how many Dulrik has actually looked at.

Not bad. I rather like it at first glance. Everytime I read the thread title though I start hearing a harmonica and then black sabbath's "The Wizard" starts playing in my head..so it must be cool.

I like it a lot, but then again I've always liked debuff chars. Feedback reminds me of the Guild Wars spell of the same name...god I hated that spell in PvP (but in a good way).

The name of the feedback spell came from M:TG, actually.

OMG overpowered.

I want a bunch of true seeing scrolls, some convert energy to have endless mana this way as a healer or w/ healing potions and of course scrolls of force wall, making certain cabal spells looking stupid in front of them.

No.

PS: I don't see slay in their skillset, you must have forgotten about it.

Not everything can be scribed. Just noting that.

Actually, I just realized that the class has scribing for whatever reason. My bad, there's supposed to be something else in that slot.

Replace true seeing with force tornado and we're set.

...Oh wait, a certain cabal already gets the force tornado.

I would definately play one, though still without enchant they will hard to level I think.

still I like this utility mage lacking any great PK power but one that can definately shift the scales in a group combat. Something like bards.

This has my vote
