I didn't come up with the idea, but it is the easiest and simplest thing to do to resolve the issue.

That is a problem, however. I seem to recall that when the religion boards were imped, D said it was too much of a hassle and there was a general concensus that it wasn't needed because the players were mature.

It seems that as soon it comes to equipment, though, hard-coding is needed.

If that's the criteria for level-cursing, we can drop the avg pbase level by 10 or so.

Yeah, but I was refering to the abuse of code + [REDACTED] poor RP involved with the Scale sacred suit.

If you don't abuse it, no need to worry about it.

Everyone has been pretty mature with handleing the split religion except when it comes to gear. Best thing to do and easiest is to have imms start dishing out curses for it, save D some time on coding that can go to something super cool!

it's only poor rp in your opinion. And you're entitled to your opinion. Some argue that for certain reasons it isn't bad rp and they are entitled to their opinion.

I don't personally care either way. I agree with both sides.

If the imms REALLY wanted to be bastards about it they could just make there only be ONE ain suit (id like to see design for that that doesnt show favoritism to either side) and then the two sides could argue over it. They honestly should be happy to have the only god with two suits and shut up about it.

Why not just give everyone a suit of sacred armor when they create with a command of givemehphatlewt whenever you are killed or thieves steal pieces and need an instant set of armour again? It'll save the time bickering.

Why couldn'y you just, do it like this... eat religion, has a unique type of sacred armor, per class, not a full set for each class, but a couple pieces that would be invaluable to the specific class. Or slap a limit per character, of like 2, 3, or 4 pieces max per char?

Why impose limits? That just makes things less fun. Let it go. It can be handled in game. If the lighties see a darkie with their suit and consider it blasphemy for the heretics to use it, then they kill them. Or one side using the others suit to mock them is another possibility. Deal with this in game.
