You may have noticed Paypal donation links on the main site, which are an experiment we are trying out. This is a direct way of not only showing your appreciation for the game, but will also help to keep us online and running for the future enjoyment of yourself and others.

Where is this money going? We currently spend money every month for various online advertising. Also, due to upcoming changes at Vividnet, we anticipate that we will be incurring additional monthly expenses to keep the game operational before the end of the year. The revenue that we can generate from the website before then will help determine what solution we will be able to afford going forward.

Currently there is a one-time $5 donation link as well as a $10 quarterly (every 3 months) subscription link. If you spend a significant number of hours playing the game each month, or have spent thousands of hours in the past, please consider signing up for a subscription. While you can cancel through Paypal at any time, a subscription will better allow us to estimate future donations and better anticipate any shortfall.

Those who donate will not receive any in-game compensation or status (and yes, we will still punish or siteban you for breaking the rules). However, we will provide you with a new forum title indicating your status, if you so desire. (Poll and discussion in The Pantheon forum.)

There's no poll yet, but please post your suggestion for what kinds of forum titles you'd like to see in response to donations. I will also field any other questions regarding the Paypal links here.

We are new to it too. I get an email confirmation of a payment, but I wasn't aware that you did not. I will go and send email replies to the one's that I have received so far. Since I don't get a forumID with a payment, I need to do that anyway to find out whose forum title to change.

Speaking of forum titles, I've had zero feedback on that. How does Elite Subscriber sound? And for donations, I was pondering a levelled approach depending on how many times you have donated. Perhaps Bronze Donor, Silver Donor or Gold Donor?

A title to me, isn't why I would do it. Personally, I would hesitate on giving them at all because it separates mortals into categories when we all should be all on the same level. But if it encourages more donations, try to come up with something not so cheezy. Perhaps just Donating Member would do.

If we all throw down $5 a month how much advertising would you be able to get dulrik? I think with alot of advertising this game could take off again, which is what I think we all want.

If someone donates, I think they can suggest thiere own title to you. if it is not overly offensive or vulgar, then I say give it to them.

How about labeling donaters as patrons. Elite member suggests something other then what it actually is but anyone that donates would be a patron.
