Mentor points

OK, I log in briefly my long aged dead char just to keep him from deleting(not much time to play at all lately unfortunately), so I get this message.

OK, what is the idea with that? My char had earned several mentor points during his lifetime, but thing is he has been age dead for like 6 months now. So obviously I haven't mentored anyone during these 6 months.

Have the requirements for mentor points gone down?

Is this a bug in the code?

Or am I just this elite?

No really, I'm not sure if the system is working quite right. I have done much more mentoring on this character than I did with my last before he got his first mentor point, and I have still seen nothing. There was even one month where I mentored three different swashies with as many skills as I could. I'm still not quite sure on the qualifications, but simply by comparing characters, this one is getting the shaft.

I'm pretty sure it takes a lot more than just giving someone skill/spell lessons. That's likely part of it, but if I had to guess, I'd say it's the least part of it.

Dunno if it works. I have done alot of mentoring with Elriorith and I have received 0 attr points for that. Dunno the specifications though. I could be missing something.

I don't think it is working. When I was playing Ace, some months I would do little training and I would get a pt and other months where I would train a dozen people and nothing.

Clearly there is an error in the calculation if characters that have not been mentoring in 6 reboots are getting points.

Hopefully this explains why my guy hasn't gotten any points since getting them two weeks(edit: months) in a row just after hitting mentor (8 months ago)

It doesn't mean anything is wrong. You can only earn an attribute point after a monthly reboot. Because I did the reboot this time after only 3 weeks instead of 4 weeks, I reduced the number of mentor points required by that ratio. Therefore, Dark-Avenger's new attribute point is explained by the fact that he was at least 3/4 of the way to earning one when he last played his character.

I always wanted you to be able to spend mentor points to max out your stats after you age.

You never could. I think Ghent has four or five points left over.
