I do not know why all of you jump to the hostility. I was just saying that its usefullness against a necromancer was weakened do to the fact that it does not still knock those affects down. Especially in one area of the game, where charms, dominates, and undead are not legal. It means that the affect of the spell is completely a buff for the criminals and a gimp for those who may stand against them.
Did you bother reading the responses in the thread at all? Holy word has not been weakened against enemy necromancers, sorcerers or hellions. It still tries to dispel charm, control and dominate on charmed pets/controlled undead outside of your party, if the controller/charmer is of an opposite alignment. The only thing that has changed is the cancellation effect on members of your own party. It is now less likely to cancel those effects, which is actually stealth buff.
It does a dispel magic on opposite aligned characters outside your party.
It does a cancellation on characters inside your party.
