Here is the thing though, this is great and everything but is D even willing to consider to add a ninja class, let alone anything else?

Shut up, Muktar.

Dulrik wants to do this.

This isn't a bad idea at all. I'd add Endurance to the skill list. Anyone who's seen a ninja flick has seen them sprint full out across half the rooftops of Tokyo.

I'm a little curious as to how Hood would work. Would it, at increasing levels of mastery, block more and more of the ninja's appearance? Such as, at fair it would act like a disguise that automatically applies the adjective "hooded", then at good it blocks gender, then at superb or mastered it shows only "A person is standing here?" And when you say that a ninja would always be hooded, does that mean that this skill can never be turned off?

Good, let's continue. I do think they need some sort of backstab ability. Not as good as the rogues, but one nonetheless.

Perhaps give Ninja backstab as well? Not dual backstab, but backstab. Rogues need to have an advantage as well.

Also, perhaps a skill that allows ninja to craft ammo such as Shurikens as they're far too expensive to actually buy in quality..

...Haven't you seen Ninja Scroll? A cleave-like ability that could only be used when aiming at mid/lower would be far more appropriate, with a 25% chance of instant limb severing and a shower of blood for all those around.

Cleave really wouldn't fall under a Ninja skill, more of a Samurai thing heh. Now Strangle, Garrote or Impale would be the kind of skills you'd find with a Ninja.

Other skills that could be applied to the class

Vanish - Disengage from combat and hide (IE, the use of a smoke bomb to perform)

Crossbow - Already in game.

Lightning Reflexes - Chance to attack on a successful dodge

And various others. Also for the Apply Poison, it could be built from it's own tree as spells/skills/songs are. Each status change in level could unlock a new poison that the Ninja/Rogue can use, however where as a Rogue can only imbue his sword/dagger with a poison, the Ninja can imbue his bolts for his crossbow.

Other paths you can take to inventing the class could be there own spell set that some Ninja's posses in other types of stories. Breathing Fire, Igniting their weapon with fire, attacking ones soul directly, Slipping into the shadows, and what not. Alot of ways you can go.

And lastly, you'll probably never see the class in game... ever. 7 years to create bards I'd say 14 for Ninja's considering all the additions I've seen in the last 3-4 years. So yeah, much like my Minotaur Monks, enjoy the pipe dream ;) (Or play your Hellion as a Ninja, just swap your plate for leather)

No self respecting ninja would use a crossbow.

If you heard a ninja do anything, let alone use a weapon, then it shouldn't be a self-respecting ninja.
