I'm having a really hard time coping with the fact that I have a character who is level 1 & 3/4 and is familiar with the newbie starting area (Taslamar).

Can we please remove this awful code from the game please?

uh, when you're familiar, you get no bonus, but you also get no penalty dude. At "familiar", it's exactly like it was before the system.

Until you pass that shortly thereafter.

Newbie starting areas won't give you a familiarity XP penalty. You'll be stuck at "You are familiar" for as many levels as you like.

Sure, I had level 44 character in 2 weeks. But that's not what this thread is about

Taslamar newbie area sucks for exp anyhow.

That, and, we know you are no newbie, Three, but like, grind some coins and experience before you hit level 6. Bank some of those coins in case you die and then get mentored. In SK suddenly gold becomes harder to earn after that.


Nerina is probably the most newbie friendly.

Unless you're a darkie. Darkie gold farming is actually incredibly easy.

Yeah, when I started playing again I had 32 obsidian on my grey aura'd character at expert, just from leveling.
