Goldilocks [REDACTED] hates me this week, so I'm going to have to make a post here to evaluate weapons.

I notice that help weapon doesn't include the hatchet subtype for axes. I also think that the stats for hatchet are utter [REDACTED] because I have seen Jason Voorhees use one to great effect in the Friday the 13th movies. Battle axes are decent and good one handers especially if you are a dwarf. Double bladed axe and greataxe are almost too similar in stats. Actually what *is* the point, aren't they the same thing? Poleaxe I guess is good for shamans. It is really in limited quantities though. Also, why isn't Vaerlain dripping with axe goodness?

Hunting bow is pretty useless in my opinion. So is compound bow. That leaves archery, shortbow and longbow. Longbow is my personal favorite for several reasons. However, I think ranged combat is very overpowered for the fact that you can't utilize evasion skills against these attacks. It's basically just how much damage you can soak with your hp and armor. Overpowered in my opinion. Swashbucklers are completely shutdown as they don't have the reach or necessary number of attacks to counter ranged. Mages can, however, deal with it through etherealform and other toys like stone skin and mirror image.

hand crossbow, catapult and ballista are useless. Crossbow and siege crossbow, just see above but multiply the severity because of the increased damage output.

I'm not particularly gripy about daggers save for the fact that they could use some better materials in some of the less used subtypes, like sai.

These weapons gain the unparryable stat which make them great to use against swashbucklers. Severely underused in building but have the potential to be awesome. Also gains bonuses against sprite, gnome and halfling races. Game needs more of these.

Severely underused weapon type. Gains bonuses against halflings, sprites and gnomes. I have images of barbarians crushing skulls with warhammers, but where are they? I can't seem to find any decent maces unless they're in a place that it makes it far too much of a bother to get them.

Trident could use a little tweaking, ahlspiess could use more representation in the game. Probably one of the more balanced sets of weapons stat wise though.

Hellions demand more halberds. This class of weapons also suffers from under-representation. Could use a little bit of balance to compete with the spear class, or is it just because there aren't many examples of polearms in the game? I don't think I've seen a single bec de corbin.

I think some stats need tweaked, like with longsword, broadsword and bastard sword. Several types of weapons are under represented in the game. Rapier and epee are great offhand weapons for swashbucklers, and add a different flavor to the multicultural atmosphere of SK. Cutlass is fine as is but could use some more representation in game. Scimitar blows. Not sure if I've seen any kris type weapons. Claymore could use more representation. Greatsword is represented, but only for darkies. It's practically the same weapon as flamberge as well. Looking over the ratings, I can say that khopesh is vastly over rated. It has practically the same stats as falchion. No-dachi is severely under represented. As is bastard sword.
Katana should be two-handed.

I have no complaints with whip, it is right where it should be. Spiked chain, however, could use more representation.

These weapons are fine, except, why does sling get its own weapon category when it is only one weapon. I think it should probably be represented as an exotic.
