Logging onto SK should be fun, should be welcome, should be encouraging. Stop thinking of ways to punish players who log on. Becoming the focus point of enemy gank squad isn't fun. Losing the relic and not being able to use cabal skills isn't fun.

Giving the relic to a PC automatically makes him a target. That means that no-one will want to take the responsibility of carrying that. As a result, only players known for their PK or in this case survival skills will be willing to take leadership, while others stronger in the RP department will no longer get chosen as leaders nor be willing to assume such high risk positions. Although

I too believe though, that a loss of relic should mean more as a bonus to the attacking Cabal than the one suffering the loss. The reason is simple. When a cabal remains relic-less, people stop playing, returning to their alts or even re-rolling a char for the winning cabal. Furthermore, less and less people are willing to roll a character for said cabal. This, over time weakens the losing organization, rendering it useless. It has happened before.

Whats to say a completely responsible leader couldn't discharge the relic and give it to their members? I'm not sure why they automatically become a target. I would, for instance, want to go to every one of the tougher areas to get gear for my cabal mates with the guy who has +1000 HP tanking.

i fail to see how going to get gear makes the relic-holder any less of a target. your enemies will be constantly locating to see who has it.

also, i would pee myself if i saw a heavy-armor class wearing 2 (or even 3) relics. talk about unkillable, if you aren't exaggerating that value.

Look, can we not try to work 'deeper' into "CRS"?

I got as far as that, made some dirty innuendo in my head, and gave up.

Raid the cities, not the cabals...
War between the cities is much more fun than war between the cabals.
Just make the cities relic boost guard NPC hp, and decress it when lost. Tribunals are more active anyhow.
