The game does seem better but I thought maybe that was because of the fast effects system you put in affecting things. I hadn't realized that you've totally upgraded the server and software.

There was actually an exhaustive period of testing going on to ensure the new server was stable, considering just how much had changed in structure.

Thanks to all who helped out in that process - it's a tribute to all involved that the changeover was only noticed as an increase in game performance.

Actually I just logged in and it was going hellishly slow for me. I'm going to cross my fingers and pray i experience the speed everyone's talking about next time :/

Besides the hardware itself, there's another reason why the sites should be faster now. Previously we were connected through Vividnet's office T1 line. Now our servers are located on a backbone with peerings to over 500 other providers. That's like going from a back alley to the freeway.

Everything I've heard and seen myself says the servers have a much faster response time. Erevan, you are the first I've heard to have a slow experience, so I'm hoping it was just a temporary connection problem.

If not slightly worse it's about the same for me. I was surprised from the responses here. Is there a chance that the new line doesn't affect europe as much?
