Barbarians are awful. If you must play one, flamberge definitely isn't the way to go (especially if you are size large).

A half-elf barb needs a lot of patience. But it's not everything 1v1. What is funnier than tracking invisible a merc who finds himself suddenly bashed. Or sensing the mercenary who is trying to do the same to you, or having fun tearing apart perfectly set up swashbucklers. There is no such thing as in 1v1 in sk. Unless you only like to duel and take part in tournaments. I'm not playing as much as I used to so I can't comment on the character but I hope you come up with something that you will really enjoy.

Considering Aelraen was a monster up to his final day, I'm inclined to say barbarians are not awful, no.

They're not a dueling class, but they can certainly destroy.

Not that max charisma on a priest does much nowdays other than give me the OOC satisfaction of knowing she is very influencial, but yeah.

Would be useful if you were in a tribunal, I suppose. If I ever play again you can be damn sure I'll have max cha, just because I [REDACTED] hate leveling.

Barbs aren't awful, I think mercs are better though. It's painfully obvious Bill and the two jman NPCs whipped my [REDACTED] because bill was able to parry and dodge and shield block due to parry/eparry/specialize accuracy bonus and good human stats, so he could tank while the 2 jman NPCs with iron weapons hurt me along with him.

But putting all things in context I think a better fighter can be made.

Well you are right, Spiros, SK is about characters more then it is about a collection of stats and numbers and the like, or who's better, but you have to remember too that the Hammer of Light is a combat intensive cabal, and if a player doesn't feel his char is developing as strongly as he had hoped, you might need to delete him.

First of all:

DO NOT INVOEK MY TRUE NAEM IN VAIN!!

...Secondly, My hammer merc was turned to utter -shit- after the great changes in the combat system. For a large period of time, dex mercs were uttter crap. Also, both my specs were RP-based. One of them turned up good, the other always sucked. I still played said character for a good year before I left SK when WoW sucked me in :p

Thirdly: Seriously, invoke my name in vain again and face every inch of my wrath.

I know, the song 'whole lotta love' says 'every inch of my love', but yeah.
