I'm not flaming you. I'm just suggesting that the current discussion is irrelevant, and you're the one who was arguing about how crappy shamans were when I brought up shamans vs paladins yesterday. Gilgon and Rial came later, and to be honest I am disinterested in a lot of what they're saying because I'm disinterested in the content of a "who makes the better tank" debate.

With the massive influx of shamans there seems to have been recently(pretty sure last year at some point Golg and I were like the only ones), I'm actually amazed at how little voodoo seems to get used. GOOD JOB SKERS, YAY!!!

I apologize to you Jardek. You are right. I am sorry. I did not say shamans suck. I just said they aren't the best meat shields. I specifically said that they are good but not just the best.

[edit] Also, it turned this way because someone suggested of just dropping the spell and not replace it.

Anyone who thinks a shaman can be a better tank than a merc should seriously reconsider it.

Not to mention that if you put "outside" buffs into play(to help the shaman's concentration problem) a merc can get every single buff any other class can get as well and still have pros that include specialize, eparry and heavy armor bonus.

And most important of all, a merc can deal some serious melee damage as well, increasing his tanking abilities(an armless enemy deals less damage for example).

On topic, my opinions on voodoo haven't changed. Only restriction it can get is a flag to stop the multivoodoo crap. If you are not good enough to drop them in a single voodoo, either get a doll or get more mana mods.

This was shamans being best tanks in SK.

"Best" is subjective.

Anyway, you can try to argue more about shamans vs paladins. Thing is neither of them can be better tanks than mercs.
