More people need autogreet. Then you don't have to ask.

Why is that option default OFF for those who aren't new to SK?

Not greeting back no longer has any spell advantages.

It does in terms of summon ganks. :-?

I don't want random people to automatically know my name because they randomly tell me theirs. If some crazy guy on the street started following you around screaming in your face, 'HI I'M BOB! IT'S NICE TO MEET YOU! MY NAME IS BOB! HI! I'M BOB! HI!!!' (this happens to me all the time in Teron) would you honestly tell him your name?

Bob's actually a decent guy when he settles down a little. Yeah, he's kind of jumpy in a sort of I-could-take-your-head-off-at-any-moment way, but really, he's harmless.

I find it terribly frustrating when I don't see one of my religious or cabal/tribunal members and have a day where I meet a bunch of new people and somehow forget the ones I've been around longer. I really think that Cabal/tribunal and religion might need some kind of tweak so that they are semi-immune?

Thuban's idea is great in theory, but what about those of us who have very long lived characters? Making it permanent out of a set pool makes me not want to use it while young at all, as I don't know if that person will be around when I'm older, and I don't want to waste them and end up dealing with the same problems later on. Then again, I suppose that would mimic real life a bit more... Just kind of in a funny way that will get really lame after a short while.

This just reminded me of something. How come being in a cabal/tribunal let's you automatically know the other member's race/class when you haven't even met some of them?

If you're in a military unit, you're gonna at least vaguely know what the other people in your unit do. You may not be all that familiar with them, but it doesn't take a freaking genius to know that the guy with the big long rifle is the sniper.

I believe greet already sort of works how you say you want it to work. It tracks the time you last greeted each person. If you run out of greet slots, it removes your oldest greet in place of the new one. If you want to make sure you don't forget people you see frequently, just make sure you start each encounter with a greeting.

The way it works now seems fine. I thought you only forget people when you haven't been in the same room as them for a long time, and that amount of time is based on your wis. Being able to only remember a set number of people kinda negates that tho.

Perhaps the following socials could 'renew' the greet timestamp if each party knows the other?

ACK
SALUTE
and, oh I dunno... what do Druids use? HUG maybe? :P
Harlies...? BONK ?

Last two jokes aside, I think you get the point.
