Lot of great advice here, thanks again everyone. :) And I think I understand how training works a lot better now, I was still a little confused when I wrote my post.

Next question: How often do characters who aren't logged in get deleted?

If you don't log in at all between (roughly) monthly reboots, your pfile will be cleaned out of the system.

You have at the very least a month before you would be deleted. Depending on the timing of your last login, it might be closer to two months.

Good to know. :) I've been pulling a lot of overtime and it looks like I won't be able to mess around on the computer much between now and Easter...I lost a character on another MUD because of the same problem over Christmas and figured I'd better make sure it didn't happen again.
