If it's actually supposed to be a drawback, and not some minor flavor effect, I'd agree. As it stands now, a jman mino with naive wis can send tells for less than a full 2% ME. If that's meant to be some sort of actual drawback or prohibitive cost...Well, it's nothing of the sort, and I'll leave it at that.

I agree with OA, I rolled a minotaur just to see their stats when they first came out, I could send tells with Buffoon wisdom as a level 1 minotaur for only 5% mana.

Tells at GM still usually cost my helf merc 2% and that was with clever wisdom.

If it's suppose to be a drawback the mana cost needs to be much higher than it is now.

Yeah, I wouldn't have even known it was supposed to cost more to send tells if it didn't say it in the help file.

The problem being that alertness represents a supernatural level of awareness that transcends common senses. Just because they have good hearing does not mean they are supernaturally aware. Someone with good hearing can still be completely oblivious to that which they are not purposefully listening to.

Out of curiosity, why would you go through so much trouble to make the mud rp centered, then want to make it harder for an entire race to rp via tells and harder for everyone in the mud to rp with them?

It's a cool concept nonetheless.
