Shattered Kingdoms

I remember meeting Ishiye to get Ryoichi interviewed for the Talons. I was impressed back then, and that sort of RP was consistent throughout my interactions with her. This character was always fun to be around, especially with Chauld nearby, ehehe. Not only that, but every time I met you it was like meeting Santa Claus. I tend to take a lot more than I give to you but I really do appreciate it.

I always felt bad about pestering Ishiye for information in the earlier stages of my character, but there were so many new things to explore that I just needed to do it. She was always willing to help too, but not to give the complete solution to a problem, just steer you in the right direction which I found more interesting in most cases. Even those simple inquiries were interesting to RP with Ishiye.

I'm sorry I didn't get to meet Ishiye's depth, but that's the way it is with most characters, you rarely get to know them truly, there's a certain dose of mystery (or there should be) in any character.

In the end the greatest measure of a character isn't whether he was PAR, or HF or leader of a faction, or whether he or she has 3, 4 or 10 pages in their afterlife thread, it's whether she will be remembered by the enjoyment she brought to others and most of all to the player herself who did play this character for quite some time.

This made me happy

I don't think I can adequately express how much Ishiye impacted the development of Chauld as a character. She played many roles; teacher, friend, and conscious. She was an extremely deep character, some times too deep for a simple centaur to understand.

She also had bigger balls than Chauld did. There wasn’t much that she would shy away from and her quiet confidence was inspiring. Chauld always felt safe if he was traveling with her.

It was always entertaining to be around her, even if it was just sitting under an apple tree philosophizing. But, of course, the most fun was scaring prospective suitors away with threats of slow, agonizing death.

Sure, she unnerved the feck out of Linarumien as the smartass elf at some point just felt lost in how she could teach ishiye the 'proper' ways of the fist, but being the pushover that lina is in such matters, she eventually just gave in to 'Bah. scrupulous. She'll find her way eventually.'

Ishiye was very much like a spoiled daughter to Lina, but she also taught her several stuff.
It was extremely fun logging in to find changes to diplomacy and cabal stance that I didn't even hear of, and then having to deal with them as a principled character who generally fails to understand how things can work without being heavily premeditated

I enjoyed Ishiye while I had Asmodai. Unfortunately we didn't interact a whole lot even though we shared the same cabal, and when we did it was occasionally on less than friendly terms, which were usually my fault. I'm sorry I didn't get to see more of your character to really get to know her. Great job from what I did see though, hope you have fun on your next.

I'm sad to hear of Ishiye's death.

Marston respected Ishiye the most of any members of the Fist. He actually believed she had chosen the wrong path, as she was far more of a crusader than any other Fist member he saw, excepting perhaps Orson.

Lolthy poo, now that shes dead, whats with the Chauld hiding her from the moon bit? I know she was half-wolf! >_< but still!

Explaining this without writing an essay is going to be difficult. I guess I'll give it a try. Ishiye's spirit totem was that of the wolf. It stood for leadership, loyalty and primal instincts. All of these spheres played a major role in her life, especially the latter. The moon obviously enhanced these feelings of wilderness. Being that with primal instincts there also came a general urge to lose her temper, something that was quite controversial to the teachings of self-discipline of the Fist, she was quite afraid of them.

I at some point mentioned that Ishiye, was in fact a character who was extremely vulnerable. Fortunately for her, none of the people who associated with her and witnessed her internal struggles (she always did long for her wild side), took advantage of this weakness. I, as a player, always half-hoped that a darkie would bother. The dilemma never went beyond a few breakdowns. It was mostly Filliokwe who was responsible for them, since he tried to 'free' her true spirit. Chauld, being the loyal friend he was, tried to protect her from herself. There was an incident during which she ended up killing him, in a fit of rage (<3 for the IMM who messed around with me.)

After this, Chauld decided that it was time for a bit more 'drastic' measures, so he forged something for her to wear and soothe her mind, whenever he wasn't about to do so.
