So do you all also agree with wimping a certain Fist skill?

Using your logic a single finger should be impossible to destroy the divine undestructable armor.

As for getting constantly jlooted, it's your problem. Accept defeat after getting jlooted, stay low, away from PK, enchant your EQ greatly again, go once fully prepared for another PK attempt.

If you get rez and rush into PK, you ask to be killed again and again and junked again and again.

pure ownage

Eh, not really. The skill he mentions and the junk command are in no way or form even remotely comparable?

Not that I agree with any particular points in this thread, I just thoroughly disagree with that logic.

I'm sorry but the argument "You shouldn't be able to junk energy because it cannot be destroyed" is as stupid as saying "Fist members can't do that skill to energy pieces because it can't be destroyed".

Guess what? Both things destroyed energy/adamantite/anything for as long as SK exists and none complained about them all these years(seriously at least - even if they did, D never changed a thing).

So don't try to justify the "Ohnoez, don't jloot me plzplzplz" mentality using realism as an argument, because as I said before, realism gave SKers shovels as well.

When you use the fist skill your gettings the powers from gods. So they let the cabal member be able touch an object for a fraction of a second as the thing is destroyed.

Is it getting it from a god, or is it from worshiping a false trinket? At any rate, I can see the reason for the suggestion, but the system is fine in its simplicity.

I thought you got that skill from a trainer NPC. Silly me.

I like the original post, albeit I think I prefer the more simplified version laid out by someone else (too lazy to read through again). The leap of logic that it cannot have exceptions and must relate directly to a certain Fist skill (give me a break (lolpun)) is pretty silly.

An idea like this could pick up a lot of steam and support if it was presented right at the right time. I suggest trying again later, Salandarin. :P

Maybe a new kind of enchantment spell that could imbue an item with an unjunkable flag. Not likely to do it, just an idle comment.

That'd be awesome. Something that like magically ties a name to the armor and makes it unjunkable? (Which can be changed at any time)

c 'whateverspell' whip Dulrik

then:

You utter the words, 'uoculoihuyl'.
This is a whip of fine iron links, a medium iron weapon, weighing approximately 10 lbs.
This item cannot be destroyed and it's owner is Dulrik.
The weapon is a battle whip.
It is of poor quality and is worth approximately 40 silver.

You could even make it so call armor only calls those items which have this flag on them.. or not go that far.. doesn't matter either way, just throwing stuff out there.

Perhaps a blacksmith could "brand" items, the cost of which scales with item level. You could brand it however you like, but until the brand is removed (also done via a fee) it couldn't be junked, although it could be destroyed by enchanting. A brand could fade after a few IC years, or perhaps after a set number of repairs, requiring the owner to rebrand it to maintain ownership.

Perhaps sorcerors could get an enchantment version, but they place runes on their items? Lots of possibilities, I think.

At the very least, it would provide a way to make sure special RP items don't get tossed out along with everything else. It would also provide a legitimate way of indicating ownership - I've always loved the thought of passing down items from characters long dead, which a system like this would make much more feasible.

Oooh. I like the brand idea much more than the previous fix-it thoughts. Maybe have a cost of experience to make it a goodly sacrifice to do - you imbue the item with some of your own life force or some such.
