Do the changes make it possible to be competitive at Master?

So if you said that you still plan to grind to master, what changes would be necessary for you to still find some value at GM, but not feel compelled to grind to get it? I'd rather see people gain the last ten levels at a fun and leisurely pace.

The last ten levels for me are mostly used to spam spells more, spam skills more, because while you're training up to master it just isn't enough time to master everything, actually not much at all. I reached GM recently with a Barb and still don't have third or fourth attack mastered. I don't know if that needs looking into or not, but it is what it is.

Also many times people plan our their character around stats. Those stat points are definetly nice to have.

Just remove level thieves after you pass Master. It's an incredibly simple change and it would remove _all_ of the whining about having to go from 41-50 before you have a complete character. GM will still have a huge number of benefits, and masters will finally be full characters.

Why this is so complex? The world will never know.

Because a lvl 40 character shouldn't be able to get the elite sword of pwnij or the full suit of sick armor that are GM lvl.

What he can do though is get lvl 40 mithril/diamond and enchant the hell out of them, putting him on par with GMs.

This isn't the best solution. I like Dulrik's solution much better.
