Sure for a fighter, they're a pain in the [REDACTED] as a caster though. Not to mention a completely un-needed hassle. Keep them in the cities that's great, cities should be harder to raid. Let us have our fun in the wilderness though.

Bounty NPCs almost always mandate bringing more than one person to fight, they hinder solo PK drastically. Players are meant to play the game, not NPCs.

The spawn rate in the wilderness if a lot less than the spawning rate of inside areas. 1:3 or perhaps even more, if I remember well what D said in that update like 1.5-2 years ago. Their spawning rate goes up with the crime lists though, so expect someone like Benjamin to spawn a lot of templars even around Exile. And I think this is a fair trade anyway.

As for the whole "if bounty NPCs are removed we'll see solo PK again in cities" argument, it's wrong. We won't see more solo PK, we'll see more gank squads finishing the job a lot easier.

I don't want them removed from cities, I want them removed from the wilderness, so a player can actually patrol around the city and find solo fights.

If you have 3 crimes you can travel through all Taslamar without any NPCs showing.

If you have 100 crimes, I'm sorry.

People accumulate more than 3 crimes -very- quickly. I just think it's rather [REDACTED] you need a group to do practically everything now a days.

I agree with DA that there will be still gank squads. How often do you go to an enemy territory and find someone alone to fight 1v1 in the wilderness. Outlaws are hunted by the whole army of the kingdom. Don't remove one more thing that makes sense in the game for the sake of pk. And in the end who said that pking 24/7 is the right thing. For some it is. For me it isn't. I don't want to play SK arena tournament. I prefer shattered kingdoms. If I wanted to pk every time I login I would prefer a non rp mud that is like unreal tournament or play wow. It's unfair for the game itself that some people see it like an arcade coin-op. Insert coin-login-pk-log off. And this is from someone who is outlaw or banished everywhere. Still if I want to kill someone I will find the means to find him and kill him even if he is in enemy territory. I know that not many agree with what I'm trying to say...oh well.
