You do know that one of the items your thinking of has been changed and is basically one time use only now, right?

Aside from tribunals and Druids, I can think of at least 4 different ways to get more in your group easily.

If you feel like playing a bit more with elite magical devices, you can always get someone else in your group.

DA, since you have come back to SK, all I hear is QQ I'm DA, do what I say. OMG I'm DA, I'm Awesome! OMG I'm DA, all my ideas are super better than yours!!!!

Not everyone is a twink, not everyone is a jackass, not everyone is you. Just because YOU can exploit things doesn't make it the norm. Everything can be exploited to a degree, that doesn't mean that it is going to.

It's not about exploitation, it's not about twinking things.

It's about using what SK offers. And since you've been gone for more than myself it seems, I know SK offers a few ways to get another NPC in your warlock's small group easily. I would list them here if they weren't considered IC information so you could see also what I'm trying to say.

All I see if you QQing about things that can best you, and you defending tooth and nail twinked out thinks as long as they support you and your tribunal.

If D thinks it needs to be changed, he will change it. You QQing all over like a sobbing little girl won't. This and 1/2 of the threads you've started/thought you were contributing to could easily be avoided by you simply PMing D with your 'thoughts' on how things are imbalanced because of 'what SK offers'.

My views about the mechanics seem to be different than his in some very basic aspects. Take this thread for example, I would never consider a damage spell able to completely ignore MP to be balanced and still advertise my game as a game where tactics are used. Why? Because one of the most basic tactics used in SK, enchanting, is rendered useless with this update.

If I go and give him the list of these ways for getting another pet in your group, would I change anything? He'd probably remove them all without second thought and that's not my intent. These ways make a difference between the experienced and the not experienced, and also are something not experienced players should look out and explore so they gain that knowledge. Plus it's fun to play with them and add variety and are not the classic cookie cutter ways of playing.

If I considered them totally overpowered, I'd certainly inform immortals, but even then, most builders nowadays are on a race to see who wins the "most 1337 SK vnum reward". And why do I say that? Take Algorab's items for example(and while as a builder she can make wonders, she simply doesn't know when to stop adding scripts), all are from above average to overpowered. SK is flooding with elite equipment and yet players cry they can't find much. But this is perhaps because the mentality has changed, now simple things like well enchanted tanso are considered crap, even most diamond is considered crap unless it has some great MP on it to begin with. The same applies for weapons. Unless it's of some elite subtype with an elite material and/or elite script, it's crap. Do you remember when you could equip your character in steel and consider yourself fine? You were getting tanso and you were thinking "OMG I'm elite".

So that's why I'm posting here, on the forums, to see if there are other players who want some challenge in the way they are playing and don't want for example SK to turn in a free-for-all PK arena(that new warlocks can certainly make it easily).

PS: As for defending what supports me and my tribunal, allow me to laugh once more. Give CoN the powers GoA have and I'll be more than happy. But unfortunately most players fail to understand basic things and simply [REDACTED] because a faction owns them(and I don't include myself in the ones that actually own them, I keep a low PK profile).

Harm is affected by MP, as all damage spells, save for magma spray.

I've been told by a few different people that harm had no save and ignored MP, if that is incorrect then I retract my previous post.

Stop this QQ fest already. Dang it (Yes I said dang it). Magma Spray got changed. It is slightly weaker and has a slightly longer casting time. Deal with it already. Just because you want to not be hurt by any spell. Doesn't mean you are right. I did kinda agree that Magmar was a bit high on damage at first but after what Gilgon showed. It is just fine now.

Yes, you will actually have to get other enchantments on your armor now aside from MP. It is about freaking time that other enchantments are used. Your perfect defense isn't so perfect anymore.

Nothing to see here, just a grown man crying, move along.
