You usually need a group of atleast 3 and 4 if you don't want to "risk it". I imagine it would require an extra person now.So let's say only 2 out of 4 need skins. Your looking at about an hour and a half based on how skin worked before. It's not that it's easy but rather that they took the time. So now I need to get another person who won't just flop on me and an extra hour+?

Mithril was too easily available in SK.

Perhaps this change will limit a bit the amount of mithril in SK.

After all scouts got other interesting things to play with.

Okay, swashies definitely need a boost now, because that was a hell of a wimp they just ate.

I thought the buff they got in the update was surprisingly swashie friendly. Fly now causes a decrease in chance to hit. That helps those who have trip. Swashies only have trip. Therefore, swashies did get help.

Except a swashy meeting a merc behind a pet with a bspear now "has" to be landed, thus trippable, maybe that's what Mr Fluff means.

Hrm, JVJ has a point there. I guess this is where prone position comes into play? Run with a pet, and you can order pet to rescue then gtfo? =\

If all else fails, travel with an uber gank squad.

What Mr Fluff means is that it's way, way harder for swashies to get any f***ing armor now.

I'm going to start calling you fluffer(I'm sure you've never heard that before!) instead of Mr Fluff...If you don't get it don't google it.

I hate the new skin failure system in its current state.

My GM scout, with mastered skin has failed skin several times in a row on the flying serpents! I mean really... he has spent YEARS of his life perfecting the art of skinning, and suddenly he can't manage to do it properly?

I understand increasing the failure rate, especially when you are talking about trying to skin things above your level, or even at your level... but a GM scout with mastered skin can't manage to skin something WAY below his level? The way this change was implemented makes no sense and only serves to irritate the players who take the time (and a lot of it) to master that art.

Bad enough we now risk failing skin on the creatures we seek the most (mithril based, or dragonscale), but on creatures well below our level? I would really appreciate this being adjusted a bit.

Swashi's also no longer take extra damage from being bashed and which means they last about half again as long in combat...that's an enormous amount of extra tanking where swashi's are concerned.
