Here is something different. While you are enlarged, your accuracy is reduced by a certain number for each size category you move up. I think the opposite should be true for being shrinked.

Best solution I've seen yet is stopping enlarge/shrink from stacking on characters. The spell then remains a useful buff.

Explain what you mean by stacking?

Casting enlarge on someone twice would be considered "stacking it twice"

So like 1 enlarge would make you kinda clumsy, two would make you horribly clumsy. At least thats how I take it

Doesn't seem like a viable solution to me. There are certain places you can only access if you are certain sizes.

We really aren't asking shrink to be debuffed. Just enlarge. There is no place that a tiny person can't enter.

Size based damage is totally viable.

Don't mess with it.

I don't even play a class dependent on it, but it just makes sense.

Enlarge SHOULD give you hella damage bonus.

The only change I could see being viable if everyone needs to cry about something else is fatigue.

Summoning is noobish not the refusal of doing it. You say you are a pro. Then get a lightning sword or your local warlock and exploit their true weakness.

As for the damage output nowadays, I just remembered an old update. It took place about 2 years(?) ago when the way and mostly I think the sequense that sanctuary/armor/protection were calculated for the dmg reduction. One day there was that sprite shaman (druid I think, lageli's?) that was soloing outer guardians and the next he couldn't stand 3 rounds against a giant merc. Maybe the melee problem started back then, but people hadn't exploited it so much and we just whine with a couple of years delay. Or again maybe that update was necessary for other reasons that D knows.

Protective spells are counted after armor subtracts damage, not before (like they used to be). Dulrik smuggled it into an update a few years ago and I posted about how severely it raped shaman/paladins/tanking in general at the time. Good point on why melee got so buff since then.

There are no good lightning or mental weapons that exist, and I am not the type of player who asks immortals to make me items. I will have to wait for a good one to appear in the game.

And: Refusing to summon is a sign of a big newbie, sorry.
