 Post subject: Warrior outfitting [Idea]

You know how your warrior gets killed, stripped, and then you have a period of dead gameplay until you can get someone to help you get started with some basic loot again?

I would suggest for stores to be put in every kingdom where you can go after you've been junked/imprisoned and get some basic loot.

The way it works:
You go to this store, and pay the guild some money. The guild make a record of your name, and the next time you go to them and tell them 'I want my gear', they give you a basic set of armor and a weapon, that are no-save.

Its a way to get started even when you've 0 coins in your account without necessarily having to wait for your friends to log in to go back to your corpse,
or even a way to get back into PK without having to run around naked and with no way to restore your own PE to get some basic eq.

Mmm, I dunno, I'm kind of on the fence on this. On the one hand, I have played a GM mercenary, and it did suck to die and not have your loot. On the other hand, acquiring a basic steel weapon, and armor was not difficult at all.

Every warrior should have some money stored in the bank for scenarios like this, a little bit of preemptive planning goes a long ways.

Hell look at Navelic, he's never in anything but steel, he seems to do alright.

You can kind of do this. Just keep money in the bank and when you die withdraw it and go buy some temporary armor.

I vote that a bomb subtype should be put in just for Navelic.

I really, really want to see him run into the middle of teron and pull a final strike. That would be awesome.

Navelic sucks. All he ever does is drag me into PK where I die.

But to attach to the thread, warriors can kill rich enough NPCs to get basic gear. No need for this safe-deposit-box in game. And that's coming from someone who can barely do anything in game.

I like the thought of finding new ways to implement no-save items within the game, but I don't think this is a particularly effective application.
