Are we punishing PCs who want to RP a religion without their class demanding it, by taking away spirit aura potions?

If game balance reasons compel to you keep this from paladins, hellions and priests, that's quite alright. But, for those of us who joined a religion for the RP instead of the divine magic, we're being punished in PK for having a certain character concept.

Gods demand sacrifices. That and you get symbol stats + religious armor and hell the protection of a god. It's all part of the RP maaang. Besides, it's not like it's easy to get high level spirit aura as anything but a shaman and the low level crap you get off most potions sucks.

I agree with you mr dave. I think spirit aura shouldn't be able to be brewed personally, but thats just me.

If I were a God and my flock ungratefully sought the protection of their ancestor's spirits, I would smite them so bad...

Sorry for the cliche, but 'you can't have your cake and eat it, too.'

Course, imho, Dave deserves nothing better than a cliche.

Panthiests do have their own armor. The only thing they don't have is a symbol.

There are also like 235346536456 pantheists with 1 set of armor, as opposed to there being like 2 people in a religion with 1 set of armor.

And yes, it's fine the way it is.

Konrin is right but even if there were no symbol bonuses or sacred suits/equipment I'd still prefer it the way it is now. Rp and ic reasons>pk mechanics.
