What do you think of the law skill "Judgement" stated in the first post?
Neat idea: I'd like to see it implemented. 21%  21%  [ 4 ]
Sounds extremely dumb to me. 42%  42%  [ 8 ]
Sounds cool, but it could use some tweaking as I've suggested. 11%  11%  [ 2 ]

Not that I fully agree with the current system but has anyone ever seen anyone staying 100 days in jail? 50? None stays so long in the jail. I agree with Kerien that if you had the connections and means to build such a record, then it won't take long for the cell door to open. All it takes is a gate next to the judge and a decent group.

I remember Slayne for example. Big list. He was arrested in Ayamao a couple of times. Ok he had to log off. But the same day or next morning he was out. I also remember Dimmel. With not many ic friends because he wasn't playing too much in the end. He rped, we cut his sentence in 1/3 and he got out. It's not as bad as it seems.

Question: Is there any reason NOT to just set up a trigger while you're sitting in jail?

Deletion isn't a strong enough deterrent?? I realise you're making a point about current issues facing characters in jail, but let's not go too far. Think of the newbies!

I agree with some of the comments raised here: the "shackles" code to prevent inmates murdering each other sounds like it needs some tweaking, as a short term measure.

Long term measures about overhauling how law is enforced by the code should be discussed separately. I'd agree to any method that is more thematic, as it seems like the current situation involves less RP and interaction than what we'd prefer.
