The mercenaries guild sucks. I'm sorry to be blunt but this is a guild for proffessional fighting men? A place were they can browse arms and armor? Relax in a tavern? learn from trainers? Its' a great idea but it sucks.

You can buy a full set of tanso armor in exile and in nerina. There is a better weapon selection at that centaur vendor in teron, or in exile, or in nerina for that matter. In the mercs guild you can a longsword, a shortbow, a trident, and one type of arrow. I think you can get a vest and helm too.

The guild is worse then any other weapons/armor shop out there. This is a guild for men at arms! It should be filled with weapons of all make and type. Varieties of armor. That's the stock and trade of a mercenary.

I propose that the mercs guild gets tweaked to offer a full set of Tanso steel armor for sale. A tanso steel shield for sale. I also propose that you can have any, and I mean any, weapon subtype made there like in Ghrame weapons. But the drawback is the weapon will be forged of plain old steel or something. Or Tanso steel but in return the pawn shop vendor can be removed.

The mercenaries guild is really bad. I don't care if any or all of my ideas go into it, I just think it needs to be changed. The guild for mercernaires shouldn't be one of the worst, if not the worst, of all the places to go to get re-equipped.

I am willing to build a new mercs guild from scratch too if the KD doesn't want to. Or be a building assistant. I'll consult with you, or you can talk to finney he seems popular with the imms. I just think this place needs to be changed. Even if I weren't a merc it's still a disappointment.

I do agree that there should be a little something more special about the guild, but I don't think it should be something to save mercs from traveling in order to create a rather good set of armor. I like the fact that you might have to go to menegroth to get a good shield or zhensh to find a certain weapon. Perhaps a good idea would be that there should be a number of quests that start/end in the guild. This way mercs will have an easier way to level, more motivation to do quests, people will interact more with mercs so that they gain entrance in the guild's whereabouts (to do quests) etc.

No reason for the guild to exist personally, the stuff there provides no benefit to anyone really, you can get a hold of much better at stores without doing a [REDACTED] lil side quest to get in.

If there was an upgrade for the place or a revamp, it should be open to Merc's and Barbarians however to be fair two new guilds would have to be opened, a Mage and Adventure's Guild so the other two classes aren't exactly left out in the cold. Paladins and Hellions need nothing so they get [REDACTED]... same with Priests, they can beg their gods for [REDACTED].

I think you mean to say; I see no reason for the guild to exist personally.

This is my point entirely, besides the pills/potions vendor, this place is utter crap in every way. I joined the guild and never set foot in it again after I did. There's no reason to. Especially if you are a lighty with request. You can request more and better stuff anywhere. The guild is so completely pointless.

It's a relatively safe place for mercenaries, isn't it? It's a nice place for RP, too.
I don't get how you can say that the mercenary guild is 'pointless' any more than you can say it for any other area in the game, like for instance, the residential bough in sith'a'niel. There's nothing up there, but it exists. Is it 'pointless'? I can't really call an area 'pointless' so long as it has a theme. It's just an area.

If you're trying to say that the merc guild isn't 'special' enough as a special merc zone, I'd say that okay, so what?maybe it wasn't meant to be.

Furthermore I don't know what you think but I always found wrettleman a lovely place to sell stuff, and those pills/pots in there rather elite.
