No. The players need to be responsible with posting logs. That or log sites need to have better rules about posting logs.

The problem isn't the logs, IMO. Why the hell do you automatically know everyone in your group anyways? Maybe the Leaders should be the only ones who see those flags. It's impossible to play a secret character, someone in your trib/cabal will eventually run their mouth either ICly, or OOCly.

Exactly my thoughts. After all, imo logs are the least problem to the situation. The main problem is people who needn't know of every one else in their cabal, and start spreading info over yim or irc or everything else. There may be people who want to RP an openly known member of a cabal, and people who want to keep their character in a veil of mystery even to those of the same cabal (or at least some of them). I like the idea described because it offers such an opportunity.

This problem will never be fixed, give it up. Aslong as Instant Messengers, Log Sites, Forums, and Chat rooms exist nothing IC is going to stay that way for long. You're only best bet is to catch someone in the act and report him, and hope they get busted.

Man, people on SK sometimes find the stupidest things to complain about.

I wasn't concerned about the logs, either. I think it would be nice to be able to hide your affiliation from other members of your cabal, probably not leaders, in case you want your character to be more secretive.

Add the same to who religion. Poor Thuban priests can't really deceive people nowadays that who religion owns you, unless they put some real effort and eventually approach other religions' HFs. Still it's easy to tell who is telling the truth and who is not.

Not to mention the religion specific create food raped them as well, but that's a totally different issue and it can be avoided easily anyway.

Why not just disable the who religion command for the Thuban faith. I can see some in the religion wanting their idenity to remain hidden as long as possible. Also, it'd force at least some IC rp (if not ooc knowledge) for others in the faith to know who is in it or not.

These things are simply a facet of the fact your character is telepathic. All characters in SK are. So, its just your sixth sense.

Can we have flight as a sixth sense instead? :/ Or Enchanced cleave? :/ or Duel cleave!:O omg, gimme!

No, seriously, I actually like the idea syn posted better than my own, it would give cabals/tribunals more secrecy, the only way you know if they are in your cb is if they are in cb chat, I think it should at least be an auto thing.

Unless you're blind. Then apparently your brain goes out to lunch too. ;)

I will agree with Syn on the group part.

With those in my religion, I don't know they are unless I use 'who religion.' Who religion will show me only what I know about them from past interactions. If I have not greeted them, I know nothing. If I have greeted them, but their class is hidden, I know their race. Flock is what gives me all their information.

With those in the Guardians, type the who list and I know race and class without ever having met the person. That just seems...wrong. I suppose you can justify it by saying 'well the judge has told me so much about you.' But that seems hollow. A leader can gain that information with tribunal members. I don't see why it should be automatic information as far as race and class goes on.

I am in no way saying this is how EVERY person plays but I would not put it past a few vindictive players to make a character, get it into a group, do the who, see race and class, log out, and make another character to screw with other people they don't like. I am not saying we have seen this exact behavior but we have seen things close to it.

And logs do too give away too much information. I have seen logs in GD showing stuff that my character may have certainly considered possibly but didn't have proof of it.

I agree, people should be able to control themselves. Unfortunately some we have many unscrupulous players in this game.
