Alright, I usually dont care when people manifest, but sometimes its totally inconvenient. Like, ill be on the way to the temple of murder or under morea with quiet mode on, so they manifest wondering why im not accepting tells. Yes, auto manifest would be EXTREMELY useful.

*chuckle* I've caught people just outside there, being both the dead one, and the one bringing back the dead one *shrug* No one said you had to bring them back.

I don't think dying is ever convenient. ;)

Yeah, but I feel bad all day if I dont. People are so damn consistent!

Er.. Do you mean persistant?

I do understand the frustration when people manifest demanding a resurrection because, oh my god, you're preoccupied and how can your life NOT revolve around serving the poor dead souls in the Afterlife?

Yeah, it's totally ridiculous how people can be sometimes. This might not even be the attitude of some of the players/characters that manifest, but when they do and you're busy, it feels like that's how they're behaving.

I also think it's upright dastardly to manifest to your enemies and give away their locations.

However, I disagree with the idea for change. I think that a ghost, being a ghost, should be able to haunt not only whoever they want (within the guidelines of having been properly introduced), but wherever they want as well. If anything, I think they should be allowed to manifest to places that the character might know very well (as an example, his/her home kingdom), or, assuming they don't place a target after "manifest," then simply return to the place of their death.

That last little bit could be supported by the real life idea behind spiritualists who believe that a ghost's place of death leaves a profound imprint on a person's soul. The same argument could be stated for a the site of a person's life, such as their home.

I think being able to anchor your manifestation to "very familiar" or "seasoned" locations could be an interesting idea.

It would be, but those are places that people level up. While they knew the places well, it's only because the character probably viewed the people living there as their enemies, having killed enough of those residing in the area to advance far enough in the discovery system.

Hrm.. But this last statement of mine reminded me of a book I've read, where spirits become bitter, hateful, and even vengeful of the living if they do not move on. Perhaps manifesting to your enemies to haunt them would only be logical.
