Regardless, the fact that rules like these aren't listed anywhere (as well as the rule 'no summoning players with tribunal NPCs' and other such gems...is a serious problem. Just because it has been debated in forums doesn't mean everyone has seen it...

True. And even if seen, doesn't mean months later if it wasn't applicable on the first read we're going to likely remember it when we're in a situation it could potentially be.

Let's get a repost topic with the rule &/or some news in game &/or adjustment to the help rules if needed. That is, if the rules are to be enforced.

Personally, I think the whole concept of surrendering is rather useless to SK if you're still considered guilty/treated as such. There is not exactly a 'I'll surrender and sit in jail until a leader's around to hear and pardon me vs. I'll surrender and be wholly punished.' When I was niave, I had surrendered in an allied city I was aiding, thinking I'd be treated better. Only thing it got me was no further charges of beating up on agressive NPCs. :-?

This is so annoying and ridiculous it isn't funny. It is so -ANNOYING- to have some jackass Imm take control of your judge, and try to act like you did something wrong by getting SOMEONE YOU'RE AT WAR WITH OUTLAWED. I also love how the Imms seem to expect everyone to just automatically go along with completely -retarded- plot lines. Yes, I'm staring straight at the Talon KD.

The leaders of -all- the Kingdoms need to be replaced with PCs. Queen Serena needs to be replaced with a PC. The Council of Blossoms(and whoever else) needs to die. Ayamao, CoN, and Empire are already set up like that I think. Having to report to some person that only comes to life once in a blue moon is stupid.

Hell, my last Talon every single member had completely different and contradicting viewpoints on the Council of Blossoms, and they changed pretty continuously. One minute they were the great leaders of the country, next they were ZOMG EVIL, KEEP SEKRAT FROM THEM, then oh, they're not -all bad-, then back to zomg they're the leaders!

I was under the impression that Kingdoms were supposed to be PLAYER RUN. I think Dulrik just said they aren't.

In short, there should not be NPCs ranked higher than Tribunal leaders. Wasn't Slayne actually the Emperor? Why can't the other Kingdoms have something done like this? Remove Serena, make the King/Queen of Taslamar a nominated position or something. If someone is doing something like killing people in jail, that is [REDACTED] stupid and does not need to be dealt with ICly. Just delete them.

Slayne named himself Emperor but it was never fully accepted by the empire until he became an NPC. Of course, Slayne is dead now, so it doesn't really matter.

NPCs have ALWAYS been the final authority and they will continue to always be the final authority. We avoid having NPCs order you around so that you can have a lot of autonomy, which is why they only come up during RP or "once in a blue moon". But when you start doing [REDACTED] things, like in this instance, they are there to remind you of what your duty is.

Yes, I said [REDACTED]. Good thing that is auto-removed or I'd be violating my own forum rules.

I think jailtime should be alot worse icly, with torture, rape, and starvation [REDACTED] up stuff that would make it impossible to ever try to rp a good reason for turning themselves in.

Admittedly didn't read the whole thread.

The only time you should lose equipment to a law NPC is if you get caught off guard. If you get caught off guard, and then you F it up like a n00b. See, what you want to do in those cases is kick some [REDACTED] and don't lose. And then run away with the phat loot and make sure that you taunt while you do it.

Then what you want to do is run to your stash. Put the stuff there. Play with it some, you know, and dance around a little telling stories of how you whooped [REDACTED] and then got away with it. It's a really fun time. You should try it.

After you are done partying, get nude and run back into the land from which you are banished. They'll appreciate the gag.

And that is how you play SK,

Me.

OK, how is the tactic of withdrawing all coins from the bank, removing all EQ, dropping them or giving them to a friend and then going to auto surrender to avoid a possible banishment and/or bounty NPCs viewed from the players and immstaff?

EDIT: And about my vote, obviously I find it lame, because it pretty much makes the law system not working at all as intended.

hehe, I find this funny cause I recall back in the day when we had characters that was on the same side and you told me to do this ICly to get rid of my wanted poster.
