Logging out, is an OOC action.

I think of it more as IC and OOC, hell you have to explain the disappearance of people somehow. Some people go back to their tribes, some go meditate, some go to the potty, or whatever, you could easily say that you as an ally went to the sleeping quarters for some rest within the HQ. Logging out is OOC, but since it is an RP game, it needs to be explained somehow to make IC sense.

Well headquarters could be 'warded' so if a non-member/non-ally logs out within hq of an organization they will log in at some random location. Just a thought for an easy solution that satisfies IC and OOC. 'Unconcious' person is 'discovered' and 'escorted' 'elsewhere.'

Next time they log on beckon them to follow you. Then walk to the Inner guardian.

Also effective, I'd imagine.

When they log on, just make them go back to their stones. It is completely an OOC action. Snuffles, those are some of the lamest excuses I have seen. By logging out of someone's HQ you are OOCly attempting to get around code. All of your examples snuffles would not be accepted in any HQ.

Like anyone is going to buy:

intruder, "I'll just be a minute. I am quite constipated!"
cabal member, "You said that two days ago!" (since the person logged out to not only go to bed but work).

That is just as lame as that Cotiak person killing newbs.

Anytime someone does something lame can we call it "Pulling a Cotiak"?

Make it an adjective for describing completely [REDACTED] actions?

That'd be neat.

I think you misunderstood what I said, I was speaking about logging out in general and whether it is an IC or OOC action, I was in no way trying to give excuses for logging out in someone else's HQs, especially if you're an enemy.

I still think the best way to deal with HQ intruders is to do it with RP, instead of code-preventing it. After all, someone must have let them in (providing they were an ally).

I apologize, I just woke up. The person definitely would of escorted them out of the HQ if they did not log out. So, RP-wise and code-wise it is logical and RP driven that they would at least start up just outside of the entrance, or have a command by said cabal member like this:

escort <name>

This ability will make people who logged out and then logged back in, start just outside the entrance of the HQ. This command will only work on people who are not part of said cabal. This command is just like as if you had personally escorted the person out of the HQ before their logging off.

There is a command that will both give a code-wise solution that is optional and that is IC.

Hehe, no worries. It's always a bad idea to post when you wake up. (At least for me)

Hmm, kinda like my teleport idea, but a bit more IC at that. Requires an additional element of someone being aware there's an intruder in there.

On the flip side, if they're an enemy - OUCH. Serves them right?
