The murder hole thing is a way to aim ranged spells/weapons in a specific direction that you can't actually move in.

Most cities have NPCs that walk around that offer to sell you a map of the city. As to maps of the wilderness, you aren't going to find many (if any) in game. I think there's a google map linked through these forums somewhere though.

Here you will find maps of all the starting cities. Also, check out the worldmap there to see the wilderness.

And the murder holes mean you cannot go through that exit, but you can aim ranged combat/spells through there.

Okay, so I'm getting along pretty well for now. I figured out the description, I'm learning my way around and I'm currently working on the newbie quests in the academy.

I'm on a hunting quest right now and I think it might be broken. The NPC I'm supposed to give rabbits to (Suppbelly) isn't responding the way the previous NPCs have responded, with the 'you need 3 more' and such. He just keeps saying, 'I do not need anymore, thank you.' and then I can buy the rabbit back when I type list. Is this a bug or am I just really stupid?

Oh! Also, is there a way to stop from having to hit enter when you look at the who list or any other overly lengthy thing? I have zmud so I can scroll back and I find the enter thing annoying because I always forget to hit it and then my screen gets all funky...

Type "scroll <number>" without the quotes to set the number of lines needed before a carriage return is requested. I usually use 65.

Has anyone ever thought to test all the socials and document what exactly they do from both the user's and the bearer's perspective? And if not... does anyone want to try?

In case you are wondering, I am just a newbie( to both SK and MUDs in general ) who just wants to get out of this place and visit the world. I don't want much just a clue, something as to what should i do to get out. Please! All i want is to explore the world.
