Some clarification over if npcs can be used as gate targets is necessary unless IMMs want to hand out ninja curses/deletions.

Everyones idea of 'common courtesy' is different, and so if you use a term like that you should define it. Or better yet, not even use it as it is vague.

Doesn't really seem like this change is working, Dulkirk should double check it.

TheIceHellion is correct. I did a random summon just to test it and the update is not working exactly.

Code:
o sto c summon skato
A stout male human council-guard starts to concentrate.
Ok.

Tenkawa Road
The tightly-packed sandstone bricks forming the base of this broad street
have been purposefully concaved to faciliate drainage into the iron grates
placed intermittently in its center, yet the change in slope is so
tastefully modest that it only serves to broaden the appearance of this
already-wide passage. An elevated wooden boardwalk parallels each side,
allowing access to the structures found there.
It's clear, warm, and very windy.
Obvious exits: n e(closed) s w
One of the bouncers, a spikey-haired half-elf, stands here watching over things.
(Charmed) A sturdy Uxmaln pack mule stands here.

You see Tenkawa Road.
A centaur cityguard and a centaur cityguard are nearby north from here.
An armored male dwarf is not too far off north from here.
An armored male dwarf is fairly far north from here.

Oh hell no. This is a BS change. Summon is used for a lot more then their [REDACTED] [REDACTED] PK targets, gate targets are necessary.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Man, Muktar, I think you ought to prepare to be the least popular player on the mud. Good job man, good job.

Edit: Maybe Seraphiction. You two are pretty much carbon copies of each other, it is difficult for me to tell which is which.

[REDACTED] [REDACTED] change. You're listening to the wrong people, Dulrik.

Well there goes almost all the non big group summon gank uses for summon.

What's next? Making gate only able to go to the portal stones?

No no, next will be recall costing 3 levels of xp, lol.

The thing is that I totally understand this. You have to get in Dulrik's head: he [REDACTED] hates rolling back changes. Instead of rolling back the 'named NPCs being unique' change, Dulrik was looking for a way to change something else so that it just wasn't an issue any more.

Little did he know that it totally defeats the purpose to "fix" a change made for the sake of realism with a completely unrealistic change (you get summoned to the wastes? Why, just walk back, mister average Joe shopkeeper!). Little did he know as well that fixing world hunger by feeding everyone their own limbs doesn't really solve problems.

Oh well, I find it funny myself because it doesn't really affect my gameplay. How amusing!
