It's the same code that's already used when you charm an NPC and drag them way the hell away from where they live. This is the same thing, just that summon was a different way of dragging them away and was currently unaddressed. Fixed.

Um, if that log snippet is legit this is one of the worst changes in recent history.

Let's just pretend it was all a bad dream and put it back, please D?

[Edit] Dulrik posted whilst I was writing. I seriously can't believe this change went in. I'm still boggling at the idiocy.

I like this change. It's also cool because now people who know how to get places can't just summon gate anchors for others and it will promote the learning of the game. Also like D_A said people can't be lazy.

Seriously, if you have concerns, itemizing them will work better than saying 'Worst change ever' or, you know, just laughing.

You want them to hang out for a few moments so you can buy [REDACTED] from them or have time to cast charm on them? That's probably doable. You want to stack a ton of unique NPCs in the same room for hours or create static gate targets? Probably not happening.

Jardek, there is a gate NPC now that spawns at the spire...Do you really need more than that?

My concern is for gate targets primarily. I'm one of the lazy people Demon refers to and this change will do just the opposite of what he's claming - at least from my perspective. I already know how to get to most places but I won't be helping others get to far-off spots nearly as often because of the now added trouble involved.

It's a nerf for anyone with the summon or gate spell. It makes travel all that much harder, and there was no need to do it in the first place. You've fixed a nothing problem with a sledgehammer.

It detracts more from my enjoyment of the game than any other change since you added xp loss to recall.

Yes Syn, the only place I would ever want to gate to is the wastelands. Stop being obtuse. Either that, or read where I said it doesn't affect my gameplay at all. I know how to get to all the places I need to get to, that's why I just find it amusing.

I get it, Dulrik, you don't like the most useful thing about summon and gate. Unless you add some kind of 'gate anchor' spell to the mud soon though, this is not going to be a popular change at all.

Also, it's completely unrealistic, the irony of which amuses me endlessly.
