Hey,

I can't believe I'm making my own poll. I'm not going to bother asking for this to stay on topic.

I'd like to see the option to post notes on the astral watchers that are addressed to a specific player and are marked as private so only that specific player can see it.

Personal mail in sk? Anyone?

Makes it a lot easier to reach High Followers, leaders, etc for stuff without having to play the "pass it on" game.

You know you wanna.

*waggle* :D :D :D *waggle*

I was told/gathered from the help file, that you could address it TO someone, but other people could see it. But only the person you wrote it TO and yourself could remove it.

Quote:
[Communication help] board note

Shattered Kingdoms uses the bulletin board system for in-character, realm-
wide communication. Notes are written on paper and then posted onto one of
the bulletin boards around the realms. Each kingdom has its own bulletin
boards, so you may have to travel to find out all of the news.

For reading notes left by others...
Syntax: note list -- show all notes
note read -- to read the next unread note
note read <number> -- to read a particular note
note remove <number> -- only for notes which you wrote or which
were addressed to you

For writing new notes...
Syntax: note to <target> -- sets the 'To:' line for a new note
(may be a specific name, 'immortal', or 'all')
note subject <subject> -- sets the subject for a new note
note post -- posts a new note (MUST be done, or the note will
not be put onto the board)
write <language> -- puts you into the note editor (once you exit
the editor, you cannot go back to edit that note)
.h -- editor help file
.c -- to clear the editor buffer
.s -- to show the note from within the editor

No, if there is a note addressed to one specific person, then only that specific person can see it.

Someone aughta make this extremely well known then. I don't know why it isn't used more.

That whole 'may be a specific name....' bit there... :-)

It's all right. The help file may be in need of a tweak given the number of more recent questions/reminders that have come up. This motivates me to get working on it at the weekend. I'm very much the advocate of having a more functional means to communicate ICly in the game.

Best wishes.

I'd rather see the Astral boards cleaned up. Many really old out of date notes on there which can be removed due to not being important anymore.

I would like to see this made note of in the Newbie files, for all noobie paladins and such seeking faiths and the sort. That way once they find a HF they can write them notes so people know about seekers. etc
