Centaur and Giant scouts can't see in the dark and don't get a skill/spell to have such. So such is unnecessary
You know there's alot of items ingame that allows one to see in the dark, also it's never really all that dark for long when the moon springs out. Only two short periods of darkness. Place a Centaur scout owns a Half-elf scout every time.
Half-elves are the [REDACTED] race now, I agree. The huge number of cold iron weapons put into the game ruined half-elves, elves, sprites, and deep-elves from being competitive.
I would be more likely to pick half-elf for scout than I would centaur, however. 21 dex hasted and +damage from the growing number of warlocks in the game are significantly liabilities. I bet a half-elf does noticeably higher damage/round than a centaur does when fully buffed, simply because 4 dex makes that large of a difference in accuracy.
