Actually Syn proved that with two tanso/mithril kama's a sprite can do alot of damage with harlequin dance and fury;P

I think the spec is basically adding more hits per round, accuracy is based on the skill(weapon) itself, the damage of the weapon is based on the buff you receive plus the enchants of the weapon...in my opinion.

my question is which is the best options to spec on?

reaching weapons such as pikes/battle spears and/or quick weapons such as sickles/kamas

It doesn't just add an attack, it also increases accuracy. That's still pretty damned important, it's just harder to measure.
