If a necro attacks a city and kills you, the attack on a city alone is normally enough RP for them to get away with pks in the process. Though, freeing NPCs as they are killing someone, so they can avoid being outlawed, is an obvious abuse of a bug and people should stop doing this immediatly.

They don't even have to order the NPC to do anything. Just release x release y, and you have two ridiculously strong NPCs that hit 6 times attacking whoever is in the room, except the necro.

Then I would also have to agree that this falls on the same lines of people using ethereal form to kite NPCs into cities to kill people. If you are doing things to purposly advoid the code set in place for the law system, then it falls under abuse of a bug or code.

You miss the part that the reason that leading NPCs to places ethereal is illegal is because they are likely to attack noobs. Meanwhile, if sessies don't have anything to attack -immediatly- they despawn within the tick therefor as long as the necromancer in question doesn't loose them while noobs are present this is nothing like the other case.

Edit: There are also tons of other reasons to release them besides avoiding law, those reasons are why I loose them sometimes. Not in the least of which are that holding that many undead drains a LOT of mana each tick, as well as the fact that undead lose all scripts while controlled and regain them when not.

Yes, if you're already outlawed, or going to cast stuff like FoD, or have another control that is in front of you fight, this is fine. But walking in, while not outlawed, and releasing aggro undead to kill people, so that you can't get reported is quite clearly cheating.

Said necro did this think at an INN. It is exactly the same case with aggro NPCs in newbie-friendly areas, and even worse since that undead tracks down the ones it attacks.

This same necro did this with the sessies while my lvl16~ alt I was playing at the time. Understandably there were others in the inn that he was after, but to run in and brandish an overpowered edrain staff and release the sessies.. Im lucky I got out alive.

In all honesty, doing this shows complete lack of skill on the necros part. If you are to much of a chicken to fight the right way, delete your character and don't fight at all.

I really love how people are supporting code abusers.

I don't support code abuse to avoid banishment, but I completely support the tactic of freeing undead in normal pk or if you are already outlawed and there are no noobs in the room.

You realise that this will make death shroud an almost useless spell, right?

If this continues to happen eventually the NPCs will stop being aggro, or the death shroud won't protect the necro or anyone from the aggro undead NPCs.
